Panic Attacks

A panic attack is the episode of fear that people feel suddenly and without any reason. And this process of feeling fear triggers certain physical reactions, which do not allow you live happy.

When you feel it – you are terrified. You feel that something awful should happen and you want to escape the situation you are in.

Other symptoms include: and feeling like you cannot take a deep breath, tightness of chest, dizziness or feeling light headed, trembling, hyperventilation, tightness of throat and difficulty swallowing, hot flashes or chills and the immense fear of going crazy or death.

Who Suffers From Panic Attacks?

From my own experience I can say that it is impossible to live with panic or anxiety. Physically you can and there is no risk to die but you are not happy!

Every person can feel it. From scientific point of view, today anxiety and panic attacks are serious problem in the U.S. and at least 20% of adult Americans (60 million people) suffer from it and 2% worldwide. Some people have first attacks in 15-20 years and then live with it. And also there are situations when you can feel it in the middle age. Panic disorder is a serious problem today.

Living, Feeling, Suffering

You can feel panic attacks suddenly in every situation in life and that’s why it so terrible. And very often you feel it in crowded paces, for example in the transport or airports. Sometimes people are even afraid of leaving their homes and prefer to be in their comfort zone. They don’t communicate with other people in the real world, don’t with men or women. They just sit at home and even their friends can change this.

The main problem is that because of panic you begin to focus on yourself and forget about others: parents, friends, colleagues etc. You begin to feel fear and anxiety inside of you. And so, your life suffers. You can’t just call your friend and offer to go to the mall or club. You can’t be a social person and communicate with others, feel yourself free. Because you always feel that something wrong is going to happen and you are afraid of future panic attacks.

To sum up, I can say that you shouldn’t be scared because each attack can be stopped. I realize that it is hard to do and saying to yourself “stop, you can do it” is not enough. But you are not alone. There are a lot of people around you who can help you. And the aim of this article is to give your knowledge in order to help to overcome panic attacks.
