For someone that smokes, quitting smoking is one of the hardest habits to break. There are many methods you can use to stop smoking such as patches, pills, herbal remedies and hypnosis. Common Barriers to Stop Smoking:

Not really wanting to stop smoking. In order to stop smoking you have to really want to quit smoking. If you don’t then no matter hard you try, in the long run you will eventually start back up again.

Giving in to the craving too easily. It’s said that it takes about 3 days of not smoking before the craving for a cigarette will start to lose its edge. For a smoker, three days feels like a lifetime. As a result many smokers will give in to this urge to smoke quite easily.

As with any habit, you will have triggers that will cause you to automatically light up that cigarette and you do light up every time you come across these triggers.

Not having a support system in place when you want to quit. This is a big one, because without that support system to help you stick with your plan it can be quite easy to give up and continue to smoke.

There are ways to get past all these barriers most of which have some element of “it’s all in your head” theme. One method is to quit smoking by hypnosis. Whether you go see a hypnotist, or listen to tapes, or even self hypnotize more and more people are turning to quitting smoking by hypnosis either in addition to other methods or using it as the only method to use.

How Can Hypnosis Get Past These Barriers?

By using hypnosis as a weapon to fight your smoking habit you will be helping your brain to fight the cravings and habits that come along with smoking. It helps you to quit by changing your habits on a sub conscious level. It can teach you to ignore your triggers, and get past your cravings to smoke.

You should still have some sort of support system in place, and honestly you will still have to want to quit smoking as it will take a lot of will power to break the smoking habit.
